This side of Heaven

An angel visited me this morning and said to "eat the scroll". This means it's time to devour the Word. This is the only thing that will remain and soon is all that will be left. The word of God was before print is currently in print and if every bible on Earth was destroyed, would still exist. The 66 books we have are not the Word of God but the words of God which point to the Word himself. So to me "eat the scroll" means devour the bread of life and everything that points to Him, digest it, and make sure my body spirit is healthy enough to draw all of the nutrients out of it. It's possible, because lack of health in our bodies, to not draw any nutrients from the food we eat and for it to pass right through us. If the words of God don't change my heart, if I don't see the Word through the words, I become religious and like a pharisee.

I'm starting to notice how much my daughter acts like me. These things she does to try and get my attention and how I react to her is amazingly similar to the way I and the Lord react to each other. It was cool the other day when Monica was having a contraction and made a comment about the pain, Victoria's first response, at three, was "Daddy, go pray for mommy, her is hurting.". My daughter is going to be a interceding little warrior bride. We are able to shape the course of a nation through our children and through our prayers. Our victories will be their inheritance our revelation will be their starting point for life and hopefully our freedom will be, when they come to maturity, their bondage. We are setting the stage for the final conquest of the Lord in relation to natural history. We are spiritual fathers and mothers who are plowing ground and planting seeds for a huge harvest.

The power of passion breaks the power of the religious spirit.

The main thing that was stolen from us in the garden was our innocence. The day we lost our innocence was the day we began to die. Father wants to restore the innocence of His children. The tree in the garden that got things all messed up was not evil it was the knowledge of the difference between evil and good(Gen2:17).
Babies don’t know the difference between good and evil and their innocence transcends, or is superior to the choice between good and evil. I believe all the experiences we have with our children are meant to show us are relationship with our Father. The way we play silly games, the way they wonder about things and ask strange questions, the way they try to help us but really only mess things up and the way we love it when they mess things up trying to help. Innocence before the Father is a place where we only look for His approval not whether or not what we do is right or wrong. As parents we tell our children what’s best for them because they don’t have a clue. I think the Father is waiting for us to realize that we don’t have a clue. Jesus had to become our brother to show us how to act with our Father. The neat thing is that because He is human also He experienced our humanity, into spiritual translation or He went through the process of losing His "earthsuit" and going to heaven like we all will someday. He realized a lot of the same things we are realizing. Could it be that He and John the Baptist talked about the visions of heaven they were receiving in the same way we do. They were both in their thirties when they were killed. When John was in prison(Matt 11:4), Jesus told the disciples to give him a message that the blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Tell him not to lose heart because everything the Father told us would happen is happening. John our moment in time has finally come, our destinies have come to their fullness. They were children of eternity in their time. We are the children of our time as sons and daughters of the living God and our destinies are before us waiting to be fulfilled.

1 Corinthians 13 tells us that living out love among men is living out a life that is not self-centered. Another aspect of love is the love we have for our Maker. The Bible describes Him as our Creator, our Salvation, our Bridegroom, our Father, our Counselor and many, many more. All of these attributes of the Lord, when realized not just on an intellectual level but on an emotional level by us, cause us to love our Creator. We worship God because of His attributes or because of who He is. There is a romance that occurs with our bridegroom when we worship Him. We tell Him we love Him(usually through song), then He woos us with His presence, then we connect with Him and are changed. This romance with the Lord is an on going thing through out the life of true Christ-follower. This love based relationship with the Lord will enable us to worship Him when the world is falling all around us. This same love could enable you to stand before a firing squad and say "Lord, just and true are Your ways. I delight in your judgements." This kind of love will not allow you to deny Him before men. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the Earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him." Does He have His eye on You?
